I might have asked you this before, but have you heard of The Last Vegas? Ultimate sleaze rock. May I also suggest checking out Asphalt Valentine, Sweet Cyanide, The Dirty Pearls, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Good stuff if you're looking to expand your musical horizon. =) PS - Still haven't found any decent cowboy boots. I'm thinking I might hit the local flea market this weekend.
Yeah I love the Last Vegas!! I’ve haven’t heard those other bands, so I’ll check them out :) good luck with the boot hunt! If you don’t mind used boots, a lot of thrift stores seem to have cowboy boots, at least around here they do. Although a flea market definitely sounds good too! I love those, they’re always so fun!

Exactly. It sucks because it’s duping the fans. They see the name LA Guns and go only to find out it’s not what they expected. With Jizzy, I enjoyed it live because I like a lot of the songs from the Shrinking Violet album, so I enjoyed seeing them played live. I also have always liked Tracii has a guitarist, but it’s clear he’s a wackjob.
Phil’s version definitely puts way more showmanship and effort into the live performance…its funny because with all the LA Guns internet drama over the last couple of years, I always would stick up for Tracii. But he’s gone too far. It’s clear that he’s full of shit and it makes me mad. Phil has definitely gone way up in my book. I feel bad for him and Steve for having to deal with Tracii driving the band name into the ground.

Exactly. He likes to say that his and Phil’s band get equal amounts of attention, but I’ve seen both live and Phil’s definitely had more fans. Not to mention I saw Tracii’s in the city and Phil’s in the middle of nowhere and Phil’s still had more of an audience. Tracii knows how to alienate fans. When I saw Tracii’s last year, I made friends with this couple who had seen both versions. The woman was such a big fan of LA Guns, and she really wanted Tracii’s autograph. We were hanging out after the show, hoping we’d get to talk to him or whatever, but he didn’t come out, even though the rest of his band did. Jizzy, Danny, and Chad were all really cool, but Tracii would not come out. The woman flat out said, he’s lost me as a fan, from now on, it’s Phil’s version only. I was willing to give Tracii the benefit of the doubt, but after this whole Dilana thing, it’s clear he doesn’t care about the fans. I don’t understand why he doesn’t just become a session player or something so he can stay in LA with his girlfriend and kid.
I used to stick up for the guy, he’s a great guitar player and I honestly thought his version of LA Guns with Jizzy was pretty good. Now he’s hired Dilana from Rock Star Supernova. It’s pathetic. Move on. Call your band something else instead of making your life and Phil and Steve’s lives miserable. With Jizzy, he had legitimacy. Jizzy sang for LA Guns in the late nineties and made an album with them. So them being the second LA Guns was understandable. Now, it’s just pathetic. He’s using the name because when he tried going out as the Tracii Guns Band, no one came. It’s all for money and it’s pathetic. Move on and grow up Tracii, start a new band or join another one as the guitarist. Just something. It’s giving one of my favorite bands, LA Guns, a bad name. Kelly, Mick, Steve, and Phil must be so embarrassed.
