the-lady-wore-black asked: Three more: Megadeth, Motley Crue, Cinderella!
Megadeth: I don’t know if it was the sobriety, the marriage, or the lack of a fappable beard-ponytail combo, but something went wrong with Mustaine after Rust in Peace. The first four albums are awesome. Killing is My Business is fucking great. Countdown has a few songs I like, but it’s so friggin overrated. Youthanasia is a huge improvement, although they sounds like a different band. I like Youthanasia a lot though…then after that you’re lucky to get one really good song off of a Megadeth album. Dave Mustaine is cool and I like him, but I also think he’s kind of stupid and overrated. I don’t know why so many people worship him. He’s just a person and a kind of asshole-ish person if you ask me. I do enjoy his snark though. I think he’s funny but I don’t think he should be listened to with any seriousness.
Motley Crue: Love! The Dirt is the greatest book ever. Too Fast For Love, Shout at the Devil, Theater of Pain, and Dr. Feelgood are flawless albums. Well okay maybe get rid of Without You and Rattlesnake Shake, but still! Saints of Los Angeles is really good too. They are a great live band to see. Well worth paying for. Having Nikki spit blood on me was a highlight of my life. I think all the members are hilarious and I think all the members can be a bit douchy, but they’re human! Anyway, Nikki was a total sweetheart when I met him, so I have no complaints.
Cinderella: LOVE LOVE LOVE. I listened to Long Cold Winter earlier today for the first time in a while and it is so goddamned good. Tom Keifer is a musical genius. Dude sings, plays the guitar (really well btw, he’s very underrated), plays the piano, plays the saxophone, and lord knows what else. And they put on a great show. Bitch toss anybody? Also major wardrobe jealousy and hair jealousy with them. They’re awesome. I still need to get Still Climbing though!
