I think what offends me most about Dave’s statement about having a license to bear children is that he is implying that only couples who stay together for the rest of their life produce offspring worth living. To me it sounds like self hatred on his own part. His father left his mother at a very young age, so under Dave’s rule, his father did not have the right to have children, therefore Dave should’ve never been born. The guy clearly has severe self-esteem issues.

right i don’t care what he said about the “plug it up” thing. hypocritical, yes. it made no sense that he said that, considering that MEN are the ones who fuck women, and not to mention he’s cheated on his wife many times… but seriously, i don’t get what you’re saying. you are offended because he has self esteem issues? just shut up. dave is practically DESIGNED to have self esteem issues. his dad took a piece of his ear out with some pliars when he was little, his sisters smashed his guitar over his head, he’s done drugs since he was 13, two of his band members in Panic (was that the band name?) died in a car crash after their first gig, and Metallica, filled with people he had come to love and bond with, threw him out with no warning whatsoever. sure, he’s a grown man, but can you really condemn him for being unhappy or lacking self-esteem, or making bad decisions? with a life like that, and filled with alcohol abuse, and his wife getting a restraining order on him at one point, its not that surprising he can be a bit of a bumhole.
i’m not saying we should pity him, but cut him some fucking slack. maybe he doesn’t agree with gay marriage, but by that i think he means he wouldn’t participate in it. as far as i’m aware, he’s very respectful towards people. when his band were getting ready and marty was praying, they ALL laughed at him except dave, who basically told them to grow up and leave him alone, and said that he could do what he want. bearing in mind, marty is a jew.
maybe yeah, he hasn’t thought through what he was saying, but he wasn’t give an easy start. don’t pity him, but just stop being so fucking judgemental and leave the guy to believe what he wants. if he wants to believe that, he can. practice what you preach, guys.
I’m not condemning him for having low self-esteem. I’m just saying it’s probably the cause of some of his more outrageous statements.

i hate dave. since before i even liked megadeth i knew i didn’t like him. something about him just puts off the dick vibe. and i was right. some of his music is good but him as a person is as big an asshole as axl rose (who’s music i also like)

I actually haven’t read the gay marriage thing, but I imagine it’ll bother me, but in this article I was referring to, Dave said that African women were to blame for the world’s overpopulation and hunger problem. He said they should “plug it up” and he also said that the government should require licenses for who has the right to have children. He also said that parents who get divorced are not qualified to have children and a whole bunch of other bullshit.
